I’m a regular mom and I have a lot of opinions. A lot of them aren’t good. And I have to keep them to myself.
For example, I’ve been a huge fan of the original Mortal Kombat franchise. I love the games and am a huge fan of the characters. I like to think that I’m a pretty balanced person, but I know the more I see of certain games in my life, the more I become confused. I’m not sure if it’s my upbringing or my own brain, but I think I am becoming more and more like a real hardcore “liberal” in every way.
I think Im becoming just as liberal as a regular mom! I mean, I dont really say it that often. I dont think it’s a big deal to talk about, but I think Ive probably become more liberal the more I see of the things I like. But I guess I feel like I have to be a little more open about my liberal leanings. I mean, I dont know if I sound like a hypocrite or anything.
I see a lot of liberals in my daily life. I think its more that I get them more than they get me. I guess it’s like the difference between being married and having 3 kids. In the case of my husband and I; we’re a very conservative family, but we’re very liberal, so I’m not sure. I think Ive become more liberal, but I also think I am a bit more liberal than I used to be.
I do think liberals are more willing to tolerate and accept the world as it is. I think being a liberal gives you a lot of options about how to interact with the world. I guess thats just me though. My kids arent liberals and they dont like the world that much.
The only liberal I have ever known is my brother, who was a liberal until he married me. Though I can hardly remember him as a liberal. I’m not sure I am a liberal. I could argue that I am a conservative, but I think I’m a moderate. I am pretty much a moderate when it comes to politics. I like some things but not others, I’m not a fan of a lot of government spending, I think most of what is wrong with the world is not actually in government, and I think that many of the people who have some influence in government actually don’t.
If you like spending your money, you could care less about the government. It’s not their job to tell you how to spend your money, especially since, as the saying goes, “they’re only there to make sure you don’t spend it all in one place.” And you don’t need to be a liberal to like spending money, you just have to be an individual who likes spending money.
I think that’s a great point. If you like spending money, most of us will agree that government is the only place for it. But there are those of us who like spending money. In fact, we’re a very vocal part of this society who would like to see this country return to a very regulated, rather than highly regulated, version of capitalism. But, unlike most of the liberals who dislike government, the government we support is actually designed to protect individuals from themselves.
